The Budget has also sealed an overview of INR 79,685.95 crores (USD 11.952 billion) for the education sector for the fiscal year 2017-2018, up from INR 72,394 crores (USD 10.859 billion) in 2016-2017—at 9.9% inclination.

Following are the ways which can be used to establish schools and ensure proper functionalities as a part of the Indian education system:

1.Deciding On The Type Of School

There are a plethora of school categories, and each has a distinct parameter that makes its operations different from others. The school can be a Playschool, Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary, or K-12. The school can also be built upon the number of grades that it can accommodate. Most of the time, institutions start from lower grades and eventually builds up to higher grades.

2.Acquiring Land For School Establishment

The land for school can be purchased or leased and should follow strict documentation by the local authorities. Establishing educational institutions is not an easy code to solve and undergoes several arbitrations. Certifications enable that the land acquired to follow the norms and are not ambiguous in their approach to the establishment of the institution.

3.School Master Plan and School Architecture

School building plan requires approval by the state board and for the plan to attain national board affiliation, certain laws and adherence must be kept in mind. The specifications with respect to the school architecture including the number of libraries, offices, assembly hall classrooms, labs, facilities, auditorium and area of the playground/play area, and for CBSE and ICSE schools the minimum land area must be allocated and specified. The blueprint of the school building and interior must be up to date during the time of application.

4.Recognition and Affiliation

Recognition and affiliation by the national boards are a tricky agenda. It is imperative for a new school to have at least a State Board recognition/affiliation. This is proved if the NOC for the land usage for school infrastructure, educational purpose, facilities for kids & staff as recommended are in order and approved.

5.Management Committee

A management committee comprises of members who are experts in different areas, including education, legal, accounting, business, and construction. It makes easier to keep an overview of the operations and made sure that the delegations of the responsibilities are distributed to the respected committee as well as school functionality.

Key Takeaway

If executed properly, the educational establishment is one of the most fulfilling agenda which can help in the betterment of society.
